Alberto Del Rio (El Patron) Reportedly Released By Impact Wrestling
Alberto El Patron (formerly Del Rio) found himself on the wrong side of the news cycle yesterday, not appearing for the main event of IMPACT vs. Lucha Underground on Twitch. The scheduled main event tag team match was changed to a three-way featuring Pentagon, Fenix (using their Lucha Underground names) and IMPACT World Champion Austin Aries.
According to a report from PWInsider, Del Rio has been released from his IMPACT Wrestling contract.
IMPACT is choosing to focus on the positive, including the success of last night’s stream.
