Another Former WWE World Champion Added To Greatest Royal Rumble
PWInsider is reporting that former WWE champion Rey Mysterio is heading to Saudi Arabia for the Greatest Royal Rumble on 4/27.
Mysterio has been on WWE’s radar since his return at the Royal Rumble, easily receiving the biggest reaction of anything on the show up until that point. Also looking to be in fantastic shape.
That appearance opened WWE up to the potential of signing a new deal with Mysterio. Mysterio was close to signing before having a bicep injury. Mysterio, at 43-years old and with a number of knee surgeries behind him, has been looking for a part-time schedule.
PWInsider also commented that all that can be confirmed as of this writing is that Mysterio has agreed to the 4/27 event, which will air live on the WWE Network.
