‘Fighting With My Family’ Release Date Pushed Back
As we’ve seen on WWE television in recent weeks, the company has been promoting the release of its feature film based on the life of SmackDown Live General Manager Paige. ‘Fighting With My Family’ of course is a WWE Studios project in conjunction with The Rock’s company, Seven Bucks Productions. The movie had been slated for release this coming September, however that has now been changed. According to Deadline.com, the release date has now been pushed back to March 1st, 2019. Reportedly, the move was made due to a packed box office in the month of September which includes the latest ‘Predator’ movie.
EA’s Take: Personally, I couldn’t care less because I had zero desire to see this movie. I do think this will make WWE fans happy however, as the promos WWE had been running during RAW, SmackDown Live and NXT were not well received and deemed more of an annoyance than anything else. Far be it from me to question anything in Hollywood that The Rock touches right now, but I can’t see this being a success regardless of when they release it. I’m not fully aware of what’s all expected out this September, but if they feel a move is best for business then so be it.
