Impact News: Backstage Notes From Redemption

PWInsider is reporting that Austin Aries was always going to lose the title. The original plan before the Redemption PPV was for Alberto El Patron to win the Impact championship. However when El Patron was let go officials decided to go with Pentagon Jr.

PWInsider has also stated that their sources say Austin Aries is only working two of this week’s TV taping dates.

Another note from PWInsider is that Konnan was backstage helping at the PPV. During the PPV he was shown being taken out of the event in a vignette.

Finally, it’s also noted that Grado was backstage at the event, so it would appear he could be returning to TV tapings this week.
