Jerry Lawler Comments On His Stroke, When He Knew It Was Happening

As we reported, Jerry Lawler had a stroke before WrestleMania. The 68-year-old seemed fine as he sat alongside Jim Ross, as commentators for the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at Wrestlemania 34 on Sunday.

However, it was revealed that he suffered a stroke. Lawler goes into some detail as to when it happpened. Turns out that while he and fiancee Lauryn McBride were ‘expressing love for each other in a certain way’ he began to show symptoms.

Speaking on his Dinner With The King podcast, Jerry told co-host Glenn Moore: ‘I got up and I said something to Lauryn and I didn’t really feel anything, and she said “what did you say?”

And I realised then that whatever I said didn’t sound right, and then she looked at me – we made eye contact – and she said “oh my god Jerry, go look in the mirror”.

‘I walked around to the bathroom and I look in the mirror and the whole right side of my mouth is drooping all the way down to my chin.’

Jerry was shocked that he couldn’t speak, saying that Lauryn screamed: ‘Oh my god, you’re having a stroke.’
