Johnny Gargano Wins His Way Back Into NXT At Takeover: New Orleans
Tommaso Ciampa has been a thorn in the side of Johnny Gargano since Takeover: Chicago, going so far as to see Gargano to lose his job in NXT. At NXT Takeover: New Orleans, Gargano defeated Ciampa in an Unsanctioned Match to win his NXT career back. Gargano released the Gargano Escape and instead switched to an STF (focusing on Ciampa’s injured knee) assisted with Ciampa’s knee-brace across the face. Ciampa tapped out immediately.

My thoughts:
Many people thought Gargano was headed to the main roster after this feud, but I can’t help but wonder if it’s Ciampa who is now headed to 205 Live. It’s hard to imagine both Ciampa and Gargano on the same brand at the moment. There’s also a possibility that Ciampa takes more time off to fully recover from his injury.
