More Details On Brock Lesnar’s WWE Contract

As it’s been reported, Brock Lesnar signed a new, short-term deal to remain with WWE, reportedly only lasting until around SummerSlam in August (you can read our previous report here). Today, Fox Sports is reporting that Lesnar will be earning a whopping $637,000 per match now in addition to $127,000 per television appearance. Additionally, Brock will earn 6% from all merchandise sales.

Also, WWE has the ability to use Brock’s likeness for any merchandising, netting him another $637,000 per year.

EA’s Take: Everybody wants to “poo-poo” this, but obviously WWE thinks he’s worth it if they’re willing to dole it out. I understand that a lot of fans have grown tired of him, but all you have to do is look at the ratings he pulls to see why he’s paid so well. It’s also been speculated that his next couple of matches will be to “do the favors” for other talents before his deal expires and even when that happens, we probably haven’t seen the last of ‘The Beast Incarnate’. He’s just too big of an attraction/draw.
