Paul Heyman Missing WWE Greatest Royal Rumble

Coming up this Friday at 12PM EST on the WWE Network will be the big Greatest Royal Rumble event, featuring a number of title matches and the 5o-man Royal Rumble match. We will also see a WrestleMania rematch as Brock Lesnar defends the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns in a Steel Cage match. Today according to PWInsider, it appears as if ‘The Beast Incarnate’ will be going it alone at the Greatest Royal Rumble as Paul Heyman will not be making the trip to Saudi Arabia. Right now, there reason for Heyman missing the show is not known. Additionally, it was noted that some of the WWE Superstars have already begun making the trip to Jeddah for the show.

EA’s Take: I don’t see this as a big deal really. Heyman is only needed to speak and it’s a cage match. So unless they need him to cut a promo, there’s no need to make the trip. I certainly wouldn’t want to be stuck on a plane for that long for no real reason. Not unless the money’s right! I think we should also remember that Heyman is going to be co-producing and starring in a television series (which you can read about here), so maybe he’s tied up with that.
