Reported Details On Brock Lesnar’s New WWE Deal, Can He Fight In UFC?

Updating today’s news that Brock Lesnar has re-signed with the WWE, Steven Muehlhausen of The Sporting News is reporting details on Lesnar’s new deal. According to Muehlhausen, Brock’s contract is another multi-year deal and he will be able to return to the octagon for UFC:

EXCLUSIVE: Well, Vince McMahon broke part of the news I had. Indeed, Brock Lesnar has resigned with WWE. But, from what I have been told by multiple sources, Lesnar signed a new multi-year deal AND will also be allowed to fight in the UFC as hes still under UFC contract.

Contd: The plan is for Lesnar to fight one time this year vs the winner between Stipe Miocic-Daniel Cormier fight at UFC 226. Lesnar still has to formally reenter the USADA drug testing pool and finish his suspension which is around 6 months.

EA’s Take: For my opinion here, I am simply going to copy and paste what I said earlier when we reported that Brock had re-signed with WWE because I don’t have any reason to doubt Muehlhausen at this point: “Was there ever any doubt? We went through this same deal last time Brock’s contract was running up and they worked it out, which is exactly what I thought would happen this time. Lesnar has it made in WWE, he’s older…why leave? If he wants to fight UFC, I’m sure McMahon will allow him to do some again, once his USADA suspension is complete.”
