Reported Issues With Tickets & Seating For Greatest Royal Rumble

With the WWE’s Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia now officially less than a week away, it appears as if there are some issues when it comes to ticket sales and seating at the King Abdullah International Stadium. According to The Wrestling Observer, it has actually been what some are calling a “disaster”. Ticket prices are ranging from $2.70-$5.30 US dollars in an effort to sell the stadium out, something that has never been done for a sport/entertainment event.

The lower level of seating is going for $80, however it has all been reserved for the President of the Saudi General Sports Authority Turki Al-Asheikh and his colleagues. There are also only two options for tickets, labeled “Bachelor” and “Family”. The bachelor tickets are self-explanatory, however in order to purchase family tickets you must have a female in your party. Additionally, all bachelor tickets have been completely sold out, meaning if you planned to go on your own, you now aren’t able unless more single-person tickets are made available.

EA’s Take: There are a number of issues when it comes to this event, both political and social (no women’s matches). This is a first for WWE and I think it’s important for everybody to be patient with it. You have to open the door before you can walk through it and this is just a first step. Nothing works correctly the first time without a hitch.
