Speculation On Enzo Amore Rape Allegations, Was A Case Ever Filed?

There have been a number of rumors swirling around today on social media regarding the Enzo Amore rape allegations. If you remember, Philomena Sheehan accused Amore, real name Eric Arndt, of rape after an incident in late-2017. Enzo never brought the situation up with WWE officials and it finally became public the day of the company’s big RAW 25 show in January, leading to his suspension and ultimately his release. Amore was the Cruiserweight Champion at the time of his suspension and departure.

The speculation today is that all charges have been dropped against Amore and it also appears as if his accuser, Sheehan, has removed all of her social media accounts. Additionally, RingsideNews.com is reporting that there was never any case filed against Enzo in Arizona, the state where the incident took place, likely due to a lack of evidence.

EA’s Take: Please remember that this is JUST speculation and we really don’t know for sure about anything at the moment. Also, it’s important to remember that Enzo was released by WWE not because of the allegations, but because he didn’t make the company aware of them AND because he was already on thin ice. People can say what they want about the man and it’s likely he was in a situation he shouldn’t have been, but I think it’s also important to remember that his accuser has a history of mental illness, including schizophrenia. I’m not saying she’s lying, I’m not saying he’s innocent and I’m certainly not saying it didn’t happen. However, I think it would be very hard for any objective person to be able to call him guilty presented all the evidence or lack there of. You make the call!
