Speculation On Why Rusev Was Added To United States Title Match

According to Pwinsider’s Mike Johnson, Hes reporting that he has been told by one source that Rusev has been unhappy as of late. Mainly with how he was being used and had asked for his release. According to this, it’s why he was added to the US Title Match at WrestleMania.

If you recall Rusev teased Twitter earlier this year when a rumor sparked that he asked for his release.

My Thoughts:

I don’t buy this at all, not one piece of it. While Rusev would love to be WWE Champion, he’s featured weekly, has merch for the first time, a catchphrase and is a star on Total Divas. He’s not leaving anytime soon and it’s not why he was added to the U.S. Title Match. He was added to avoid night long Rusev Day chants and the fact there were no fatal 4 ways and other triple threats.
