One of the biggest topics among wrestling fans as the calendar is about to turn to June is without question still CM Punk’s status for the September 1st All In show. The event being put on by Cody and The Young Bucks will be emanating from the Sears Centre in Punk’s hometown, not to mention the former WWE Champion will be at a signing at the Pro Wrestling Tees store (also In Chicago) on August 31st (for that story you can go here).

It was later also hinted at that Punk was backstage for the recent All In press conference, fanning the flames of speculation regarding a possible appearance. WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T weighed in recently on his Heated Conversations podcast, offering up his opinion after stating he believed it was dependent on Punk’s UFC 225 fight on June 9th:

“I think he’ll be at All In. I think if he loses this fight, he’ll be at All In, with the Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes, making his way back to the pro wrestling world. I really think CM Punk [misses] the wrestling world. I just think he had a bad taste in his mouth, but he can get it back.”

EA’s Take: I’m half with Booker and half not. I agree on Punk having a bad taste in his mouth regarding wrestling, but I don’t believe him appearing at All In is dependent on the results of UFC 225. I think it’s all dependent on what Punk wants to do and at this time, I strongly think he just wants to help Cody out and will be there regardless. Even say, Punk were to sign for another fight, he could still appear at All In and it wouldn’t necessarily affect his training (Punk’s trainer is based in Milwaukee, not far from Chicago). So I guess I’m saying that I’m “All In” on Punk showing up no matter what.
