Bellator News: Former WWE Superstar Reportedly Making Debut By End Of 2018

It’s been over a year now since former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger, real name Jake Hager, requested and was subsequently granted his release from the company on March 13th, 2017. By the end of the year, Hager was under contract to another company of a different kind, signing with mixed martial arts promotion Bellator on November 17th with the intent to make his debut in 2018.

Of course, 2018 has been here for roughly six months now and there’s been no word on Hager’s first octagon foray. However, he’s been training all while taking independent wrestling bookings and has also appeared on MLW Fusion. According to Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting, Hager’s MMA debut could be coming at the tail end of this year:

Update on former WWE superstar Jake Hager aka Jack Swagger, who signed with Bellator late last year. He’s still training MMA (while also continuing to wrestle). His plan is to debut — on hopefully a tent pole event — before the end of the year. Likely 4th quarter.
