Impact News: Eddie Edwards Comments On Sami Callihan Feud

One of the hottest feuds in pro wrestling over recent months has been in Impact Wrestling between Eddie Edwards and oVe’s Sami Callihan. The rivalry really got heated on an episode of Impact On Pop when Callihan set up a chair on top of Edwards, then swung a baseball bat in an effort to drive the chair down into Eddie. As we all know now, the barrel end of the bat ricocheted off the chair, striking Edwards in the face and causing multiple facial fractures, including a broken nose in a gruesome scene. Eddie recently spoke with Sports Illustrated’s Extra Mustard about the situation and the feud with Callihan.

The Storyline Being “Personal”
“This is definitely the most personal storyline I have ever been involved in, it started with me getting hit in the face with a baseball bat. It’s tough to get more intense or personal than that.”

Initial Thoughts After Being Hit By The Ball Bat
“Losing my eye was my immediate concern. As soon as I got hit, I put my hand over my eye, started walking up the ramp to the back and all I was thinking was that I really hoped my eye was not hanging out of my head or in my hand.”
