It has been a rough week across the board in terms of ratings, viewership and YouTube views for the world of professional wrestling this week. We’ve seen drops in viewership for RAW (here), SmackDown Live (here), plus views on YouTube (RAW Report here, SmackDown Report here) are down significantly for both programs.

That trend continues as the numbers are in for last night’s Impact Wrestling on Pop, as the show scored 295,000 viewers. Last week, we saw 299,000 following the week prior (the post-Redemption episode) which drew 308,000. Since April 12th when the show saw 381,000, the decline has steadily continued. Below are the Impact Wrestling viewership numbers for every week of 2018:

EA’s Take: I wouldn’t be too concerned here. As I mentioned in the opening paragraph, even numbers for WWE are down across the board as we head towards the Summer months when this downslide happens annually. Now, some of WWE’s loss of viewership can be attributed to that poor effort we saw at Backlash on Sunday. However, as we see here, Impact’s not immune to the “Summer slide” either. Besides, after that boost WWE gave the Global Wrestling Network (which you can read about here), that’s already a big win for Impact this week.
