Impact News: Impact Wrestling YouTube Report

This week’s episode of Impact Wrestling saw the in-ring debut of Tessa Blanchard, New Tag Team Champions were crowned and the return of Madison Rayne. Here is the YouTube breakdown:

1. Austin Aries and Matt Sydal vs Pentagon Jr. and Fantasma: 122K Views
2. Eli Drake and Scott Steiner vs Z & E(Impact Tag Team Championship): 109K Views
3. Eddie Edwards vs Sami Callihan(Street Fight): 86K Views
4. Su Yung holds funeral for Rosemary: 65K Views
5. Tessa Blanchard vs Kiera Hogan: 50K Views
6. Kongo Kong vs Grado: 22K Views

The winner of this week is the tag team main event. This was a good week for Impact after the past two of low viewership. Of course the main event had the most views, but the Knockouts were still able to put up around their usual numbers. The Sami Callihan/Eddie Edwards feud continues to put up good numbers too. In the tag team main event match, it was two storylines intertwining and it was a fast paced, high flying affair. When you look at the views from this week compared to last week, some have jumped up, while others have faltered. Brian Cage doesn’t even make the top 6, while he barely edged in last week. While its a great idea for him to travel on a world tour, it’s basically random matches against people the fans of Impact don’t know. Like I said last week, the way for Cage to put up tons of views is to put him in a meaningful storyline.

The base number for the Knockouts have been aroud 70K views with Su Yung continuing to be in the top 5 or 6. The newest Knockout, Tessa Blanchard, (who most recently competed in the Mae Young Classic last year) is also becoming a force to be reckoned with.

Ever since the Redemption PPV, Impact has been on a steady incline. You may not notice it, but they have really been putting in the work to turn their image around. I expect there will be a little increase in views or around the same numbers next week
