WWE Backlash Results: Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe

In the main event of WWE Backlash, Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe looked to settle their issues, possibly their last chance with Joe now on SmackDown Live. Joe went on the attack before the bell and the battle was on, Reigns quickly being sent crashing through an announce table with a uranage. ‘The Submission Specialist’ finally would dump Roman into the squared circle, ‘The Big Dog’ stating he was still good for the match and the official calling for the bell. Joe would torture Reigns throughout, Roman getting little-to-no offense for a majority of the match. Roman eventually started to build momentum and Joe would barely avoid a pinfall after a Spear, only escaping after getting a foot on the bottom rope. ‘The Big Dog’ managed to avoid the Coquina Clutch on multiple occasions, but a second Spear would put Joe down for the 3 count.
