WWE News: Another Name Backstage For Backlash

Earlier in the day, we reported that former WWE Superstars Christian and Hall Of Famer Edge were backstage at the Prudential Center for tonight’s Backlash pay-per-view (which you can find here). It’s believed that Edge & Christian will not be used on the show and are simply filming content for season two of the WWE Network series, ‘The Edge & Christian Show That Totally Reeks Of Awesomeness’.

Multiple outlets are now reporting that another familiar face is in Newark, New Jersey for Backlash, as Kane is in the building. Kane (Glenn Jacobs) has been busy with his campaign for Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee and just last week won the Republican Primary (which you can read here), the next step in getting the Mayor’s office. Kane last appeared on WWE television prior to WrestleMania in a match against John Cena on RAW. He was originally advertised for the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia on April 27th, but it was later revealed he would no longer be appearing at the event.

At this time it’s not known if Kane will make an on-screen appearance.
