WWE News: Former Superstar Big Bully Busick Passes Away
Some sad news to report today as former WWE Superstar Big Bully Busick has passed away at the age of 63 according to BlueGrassMMA. Real name, Nick Busick, Big Bully began as a decorated powerlifter in the 1970’s, then stepping into professional wrestling and making his WWWF debut in 1978. Busick would move on to Atlanta where his bully persona and trademark handlebar mustache were developed. He would return to the then-WWF in 1989 alongside Harvey Wippleman, where he received a small run of victories over enhancement talents. He would remain with the company in 1991, working against the likes of The Brooklyn Brawler, Sid and Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart.
After his pro wrestling career, Busick would promote a handful of MMA events in his home state of Ohio and was the owner of Big Bully Sports Nutrition Bars. In 2015, he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and would beat it, but then would be hit with spinal fluid cancer in 2017.
