WWE News: Alexa Bliss Reportedly Injured At Backlash
Last night at WWE Backlash, RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax successfully defended her championship against the woman she beat for the title at WrestleMania, Alexa Bliss. Following the event, WWE announced that Bliss suffered a left shoulder injury, releasing the statement below:
NEWARK, N.J. — Alexa Bliss suffered an injury to her left shoulder during her Raw Championship Match against Nia Jax at WWE Backlash. Bliss is currently awaiting further medical evaluation.

This was Bliss’ first singles match after taking some time off to reportedly have breast augmentation surgery.
EA’s Take: I’m really weary of anything injury related that is announced by WWE.com, especially in this circumstance. Due to the nature of this angle between the two, I could easily see this being a work in order to further the “bully” angle between Nia and Alexa. On the other hand, Jax’s post-match promo leads you to believe that the two are finished with each other as well. Therefore, I think we all need to take a “wait-and-see” approach here until more information is available.
