WWE News: Demolition Addresses Possible Hall Of Fame Induction, What It Would Take
Every year the annual WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony brings much debate among members of the WWE Universe surrounding that year’s class, as well as who got snubbed and who should be in. When it comes to tag team wrestling, one of the most brought up names in recent years has been that of Ax and Smash, Demolition.
Demolition are three-time WWE Tag Team Champions and held the record for longest Tag Title reign at 478 days before it was broken by The New Day in late-2016. The proprietors of the Demolition Device were recent guests on Prime Time With Sean Mooney and addressed the chances of them getting into the WWE Hall Of Fame, Barry Darsow (Smash) stating that it would take “at least $100,000 to get us there”:
EA’s Take: Gtfo. There’s no denying that Demolition deserves a WWE Hall Of Fame bid, but I can tell you that there is NO WAY they get “at least $100,000”. To steal a phrase from The Rock, why in the blue Hell would WWE do such a thing? Mooney even says in this clip that Demolition has been approached, so clearly the reason they’re not in is their own doing. Not to mention they were part of that big concussion lawsuit. Sorry fans, it’s not happening until these guys get over themselves.
