WWE News: New Match Now Official For TakeOver: Chicago, Updated Card

With much of the focus in the WWE squarely on the upcoming Money In The Bank pay-per-view at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois on June 17th, we also have the next big NXT event the night before in the same building, NXT TakeOver: Chicago II. A number of matches have already been made official and it’s believed that Nikki Cross vs. Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women’s Title, plus Pete Dunne vs. Adam Cole will also be added, but today another match has been announced.

Today, it was revealed that Ricochet vs. The Velveteen Dream will now take place. Below is the updated card for TakeOver: Chicago II, which you can catch live on the WWE Network June 16th at 8PM EST, as well as The Chairshot’s live coverage right here:

Ricochet vs. The Velveteen Dream

EA’s Take: Doesn’t look like we’re going to get EC3 in a match which is puzzling and a little disappointing at the same time. I think we’ll be seeing him regardless though after what went down this week on NXT. I foresee him costing Gargano his match after Johnny Wrestling rudely interrupted ‘The Top One Percent’. That’s my bold prediction.
