WWE News: Pay-Per-Views Moving To Four Hours
Since the announcement that WWE would be moving to dual-branded pay-per-views, which began with Backlash back on May 6th, there’s been much talk among members of the WWE Universe regarding the length of the events. Of course, the main card for Backlash began at 8PM EST, but did not end until roughly 11:30PM.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE has reached out to SkyTV, InDemand PPV and its other international PPV broadcast partners to let them know it will be moving to four hour events beginning with June 17th’s Money In The Bank from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. This would mean the main card of PPVs will begin at 7PM EST with the Kickoff now starting at 6PM. Additionally, it’s been noted that events such as SummerSlam, Survivor Series and Royal Rumble could run longer. As we know, WrestleMania has traditionally become a five or six hour long pay-per-view.
