WWE News: Shane McMahon Undergoes Successful Surgery
If you remember, the status of SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon was highly in question heading into his scheduled match alongside Daniel Bryan against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at WrestleMania. WWE has announced that ‘Shane-O-Mac’ was suffering from a hernia, as well as diverticulitis (you can find that here), reportedly leading the company to reach out to Chris Jericho about possibly being Shane’s replacement (read that here).
Of course we all know Shane was able to compete and came out on the winning end, but we never heard any update on his health after that. Today, WWE has announced that Shane underwent successful surgery for his hernia last Friday and is currently on the mend. There’s no word yet on how long he may need to recover:

Smackdown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon underwent a successful hernia surgery last Friday in New York, N.Y.
McMahon is currently resting at home, but he’s feeling well and is excited to get back to work on Smackdown LIVE.
