WWE Rumors: Neville Moves Back To The UK

Since walking out on the WWE back in October of last year, there’s been much speculation surrounding the future of former two-time Cruiserweight Champion Neville. There have been on-again, off-again reported talks between ‘The King of the Cruiserweights’ and the company, even being said at one time that he would be returning not to 205 Live, but SmackDown Live instead.

The most recent speculation surrounding a possible comeback was that Neville’s contract had been frozen by WWE, making it legally impossible for him to get out of the deal until the company grants a release (which you can read here). Therefore, Neville is stuck and can’t work anywhere else until such time.

Today, Brad Shepard of BodySlam.net is reporting that a source has indicated Neville is no longer residing in Florida, but has moved back to his home country of the United Kingdom. Additionally, Shepard reports that a second source is claiming Neville has not been mentioned internally for “in ages”.

EA’s Take: I think it’s been long enough now that WWE should just let the guy go, it’s at the point of being ridiculous now. I completely understand why they don’t want to for business purposes, but if he doesn’t want to be there, I say be gone. The company is seemingly thriving financially and I see no need to continue holding this guy in the wind. If an agreement hasn’t happened by now, I don’t see it happening at all. Time for everybody to move on. I don’t buy that internally WWE isn’t talking about him though. If Brad Shepard was told that by a source, perhaps said source isn’t important enough to know those details, but nobody can convince me the company’s not talking about it in some fashion.
