There’s no question that arguably the WWE’s hottest Superstar right now is reigning Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins, as the crowd in unison screaming “Burn It Down!” seemingly gets louder every week. Last week on RAW, ‘The KingSlayer’ brought back an old tradition previously used for the United States Championship, issuing an Open Challenge for a shot at the title. The call was answered by Mojo Rawley who fell short, but it beckoned fans back to when John Cena started the US Title Open Challenge in 2015, giving them great matches on a weekly basis against the likes of Cesaro and Sami Zayn.

Today, Seth Rollins took to Twitter, hinting that he may be looking to issue another Open Challenge this coming Monday on RAW:

EA’s Take: Rollins is so on fire right now that we at The Chairshot have debated whether he is the best in the world at this point in time. I’m good with the concept of Seth bringing back the weekly Open Challenge, but here’s the problem; when Cena first did it, there was no brand split. Rollins is limited to one roster. Granted, there is a pretty good amount of talent he can go through, but how many weeks do you go with an Open Challenge? Eventually, you run out of challengers, so I’d like to see it last only a couple of months. Personally, I’d be trying to get someone else over using Seth’s momentum. Have it build to a big match at SummerSlam, Rollins can lose the title and shift focus to where a lot of people want to see him…the Universal Title. I’d ride this wave as long as it lasts, that’s how mega stars are created.
