WWE Rumors: Talk Of A Third Money In The Bank Ladder Match

With WWE’s Money In The Bank pay-per-view coming up on June 17th from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, there continues to be speculation on the number of Money In The Bank Ladder matches we will see at the event.

This past Monday on RAW, the show kicked off with General Manager Kurt Angle announcing there would be two MITB matches, one for the men and one for the women to feature four RAW Superstars and four SmackDown Live Superstars in each. According to Wrestling Observer Live, the original plan was for Angle to announce an additional MITB match for the tag teams.

It’s being said that these plans changed due to their being six weeks remaining until the pay-per-view, the belief being that with that much time remaining, they didn’t all have to be announced at once.

EA’s Take: While I’ve been of the opinion that too many MITB matches can ruin a good thing, I can live with it more if there is one for the tag teams. The question I’d have is how many teams do you include? Would it be 8 like the other MITB matches? I think 6 is a better number, 8 feels like a total cluster with that many bodies. That turns it into essentially a 16-Man Ladder match. “That’s a lot of nuts!”.
