AAA News: New Mega Champion & More Surprises At Verano de Escandalo

There were some big developments last night at AAA’s Verano de Escandalo in Monterrey, Mexico. Yesterday we made not of Rey Mysterio headlining the show as he was scheduled to meet Dr. Wagner for the Mega Championship (which you can find here), however that did not take place.

WWE Hall Of Famer Jeff Jarrett made his surprise return, entering himself in the match and making it a Triple Threat that already had La Parka as the special referee. Fans were stunned as Jarrett covered Wagner for a three count to become the new champion, however La Parka was not in-fact the official as he would remove his mask to reveal that it was Konnan. The new AAA Mega Champion had joined Konnan’s MAD faction. The group was then chased out of the ring by another surprise, the returning Rey Fenix who had previously left the company in 2016.
