Bret Hart Responds To Eric Bischoff’s Recent Remarks On 83 Weeks
Outside of the recent news surrounding Something Else To Wrestle on the WWE Network (and this week’s episode being postponed, which you can read here), one of the most talked about shows in the world of wrestling podcasts has been the new 83 Weeks with Eric Bischoff and Conrad Thompson.
Focusing on WCW Monday Nitro’s 83 week reign over the WWF in the late 1990’s, the show offers an insight into the ongoings of the Monday Night Wars through the perspective of the former man in charge of WCW, ‘Easy E’. This week’s newest episode touched on WWE Hall Of Famer Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart’s arrival to WCW in late-1997. Among Bischoff’s remarks about ‘The Excellence of Execution’, Eric would state that Bret brought nothing creatively to the table after his very public, nasty departure from the WWF.
‘The Best There Is’ responded while talking recently with TalkSport in the United Kingdom to promote his speaking tour:
“Eric Bischoff is an idiot, total complete idiot. Maybe the single stupidest idiot that ever got into wrestling.
A guy that never came through on anything he ever said, he had zero ideas for wrestling. I’ve heard him say that I came there and I was a broken man. That I didn’t have it in the heart anymore. That I broke my heart with wrestling. That’s such horsesh*t. Absolutely an insult to me. It makes me so mad I’m glad he’s not around me.”
“He was the stupidest guy I ever met..”@BretHart responds to @EBischoff’s claims on @83Weeks that he ‘brought nothing creatively’ to his WCW run 🔥

EA’s Take: Bret Hart beefing with someone? You don’t say…seriously though, you can’t say anything about Bret without him taking it personally. He’s notoriously known for being a guy that took himself way too serious. I’m going to take (possibly) a surprising stance here and say kudos to Bischoff. Whether he’s telling the truth or not, he’s certainly doing what is supposed to be done with a new project and that’s get people talking. Sean Waltman also discussed some comments Bischoff made about him on his show, X-Pac 1,2,360, devoting a large portion of an episode to it. Kudos to Conrad and Bischoff!

TNA Impact on AMC Drops to 175,000 Viewers, 0.03 18-49 Rating Amid Heavy Sports Competition
TNA Thursday Night Impact averaged 175,000 viewers on AMC last week, a 17.5% decline from the previous week’s 212,000 and the lowest audience since January 22. The show posted a 0.03 rating in the key 18-49 demo, down 25% and matching its lowest demo figure on AMC since the move.
The drop coincided with stiff competition — Impact ran opposite the NFL Draft (simulcast on ESPN, ABC and the NFL Network) as well as NHL and NBA playoff coverage, leaving the program tied for 70th on the primetime cable charts. Versus the prior 10-week average (0.04 rating and 240,300 viewers), last week’s show fell 25% in the demo and 27.2% in overall viewers.

Nick Hogan Open to Pursuing In-Ring Career After Viewing Hulk Hogan: Real American
Nick Hogan told the Bonus Edition of the 83 Weeks podcast that after watching the final version of Hulk Hogan: Real American he’s more open than ever to stepping into the ring if the opportunity presents itself. Hogan said he’s been knocking off ring rust, is in good shape and “would absolutely welcome” the chance to pursue an in‑ring career, and noted the docuseries — which premiered on Netflix on April 22, 2026 — helped clarify his father’s legacy.
He also praised the series for pulling back the curtain on the many facets of Hulk Hogan, from character work to charitable efforts, saying it showed how dynamic a person his father is. Nick added that the long-discussed Chris Hemsworth biopic from 2019 remains a possibility despite delays, as the documentary continues to renew interest in Hogan’s story.
