Fabian Aichner Is One To Watch

On this week’s NXT there was a match between EC3 and Fabian Aichner. It’s only purpose was to be a showcase for EC3 we already know how good he is the one people should be looking at is Aichner.

While he didn’t get much of a chance to showcase it here Aichner is very exciting to watch. He showed that in the Cruiserweight Classic despite going out in the first round. Even though he’s a heavyweight now he’s still able to fly around the ring like a cruiserweight.

He’s a great hybrid athlete, which I’m sure people backstage will take note of. My fear is that he goes to the ropes so often that it increases the chances him possibly botching.

Unfortunately, he’s been placed into the role of jobber to the stars. He faced off against Andrade Cien Almas when he was the champion and there was never a moment I thought he might win.

He’s great in the ring but, if they took the time to properly develop his character he could be a breakout star in the next year or so. He calls himself the next level but tell us what that means.

What might hold him back if he gets to the main roster is the fact that’s foreign. Despite English not being his first language, he speaks it perfectly. Cesaro had a similar problem for years as there were those who felt he couldn’t talk because English wasn’t his first language.

If that’s their concern it could be easily solved by giving Aichner a manager. That way he doesn’t need to talk and can continue to wow us with amazing moves. I’m not saying he’s going to be a main eventer, but I can definitely see him in the US or IC title scene.

In terms of Italian superstars only time will tell if he’ll be the next Bruno Sammartino or the next Santino Marella.
