This week’s episode of Impact Wrestling featured a double main event: Eli Drake vs Moose in a #1 Contender’s Match and Matt Sydal vs Brain Cage in an X-Division Championship Match. The show also finally revealed who the mystery attacker was after months of attacks and speculation.

Last night’s episode of Impact brought in 276,000 viewers this is with the X-Division Championship Match being in the main event. This is 6.8% down from last week’s episode that brought in 296,000 viewers. There was also no major sports competition last night.

This week’s Impact was ranked #125 on the Cable Top 150 while last week’s episode was ranked #119.

When it comes to the key demographic of 18-49 MTV nabbed the top 2 spots with both Jersery Shore: Family Vacation and Ex on the Beach. According to Showbuzz Daily Jersey Shore brought in a rating of 0.97 which down 0.2 while MTV’s Ex on the Beach was steady at a rating of 0.48.

May 24th Episode: 263,000 viewers
May 31st Episode: 283,000 viewers (Under Pressure episode)
June 7th Episode: 296,000 viewers
June 14th Episode: 276,000 viewers

Ja’Von’s Take: I’m quite shocked that the viewership is this low especially since their was a championship match and no major sports competition for them to go up against this week. In last week’s viewership article(which you can read here.) I predicted that Impact would see an increase in viewership looks like I was wrong. With next week’s show featuring another championship match and a first time ever match that Impact is promoting as a dream match between two knockouts I expect the viewership to increase but only slightly.
