NJPW News: Kenny Omega vs. Cody & More Matches Announced For G1 Special

With New Japan Pro Wrestling’s big Dominion event now in the books, the focus of the promotion has now switched to its next show in the United States, the G1 Special from the Cow Palace in San Francisco, California on July 7th. A press conference for the event was held last night (which aired on NJPW World) and a handful of matches were announced, including new IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega going one-on-one with Cody, as well as new IWGP Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks in action:

• IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega vs. Cody
• IWGP Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks vs. EVIL & SANADA
• IWGP United States Champion ‘Switchblade’ Jay White vs. Juice Robinson
• Kazuchika Okada & Will Ospreay vs. BUSHI & Tetsuya Naito
