The match featured a call back to one year prior, when Ciampa turned on Gargano and ended DIY for good.

At the end of the day, Gargano’s thirst for violence and revenge got the better of him, leading to Ciampa hitting a DDT on the exposed wood boards of the ring, and stealing the victory.
