Two-Time WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair Set For Another Surgery

The legendary 16-time World Champion ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair is undoubtedly one of the most beloved Superstars in the history of WWE and professional wrestling in general, however the only two-time WWE Hall Of Famer (Class Of 2008, Class Of 2012 with The Four Horsemen) has had his fair share of major health problems over the past year.

‘Naitch’ suffers from a heart condition due to his decades of alcohol abuse called alcoholic cardiomyopathy, which has led to Flair quitting drinking altogether. Additionally, Flair had surgery on August 14th of last year to remove an obstructive piece of his bowel, which led to kidney failure and forced ‘Space Mountain’ to need dialysis as he nearly lost his life according to family members such as his daughter, SmackDown Live Superstar Charlotte Flair. Ric’s health problems have not prevented him from continuing to make appearances, as he still takes bookings and was even recently interviewed alongside Hulk Hogan (which you can check out here).

According to Dave Meltzer in The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, ‘The Nature Boy’ is scheduled for another surgery on July 9th, reportedly the last in a string of procedures all due to those issues last year. Flair has spoken about needing a colostomy bag and even recently stated that a surgery was set to get it removed, however it’s not known if his July 9th procedure is one in the same.
