WWE News: Charlotte Flair Finally Undergoes Surgery For Ruptured Implant

As has been previously noted, WWE SmackDown Live Superstar Charlotte Flair has been working with an “injury” (if you want to call it that) for quite some time now, dating back to before WrestleMania 34 in early-April.

‘The Queen’ has been putting off having a corrective surgery to repair a ruptured breast implant (which you can check out here), but (depending on who you ask) she didn’t want to miss WrestleMania or the WWE’s most recent European Tour. It was then revealed she would finally have the surgery following Money In The Bank this past Sunday (read about that here), which now looks to be the case.

After being absent from this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the multi-time Women’s Champion went under-the-knife on Tuesday. The expected recovery time for such a procedure is roughly in the 6-8 week range, which we recently saw evidence of when Alexa Bliss took some time off to have a breast augmentation (you can find that story here).

The hope for Charlotte Flair is that she will be able to recover in time to work SummerSlam in Brooklyn, New York, which emanates from the Barclays Center on August 19th. It should be noted however, that this has not been confirmed and if for any reason there’s a setback, she could miss the event.
