Just when we thought it was all over, they pull us back in again. Last week’s big news story was of course the trial in the lawsuit of WWE Doctor Chris Amann against former Superstars CM Punk and Colt Cabana, which of course we now know ended with neither side having to pay the other damages.

The stalemate has been seen as a victory for Punk and Cabana, while many feel the trial let out a lot of questionable details regarding Amann’s history. The most notable of these facts that came to light is that Amann previously had a sexual relationship with former WWE Diva Jillian Hall while the two were both employed by WWE (Hall worked for WWE from 2003-2010), which has been reported by Deadspin.

Deadspin contacted Jillian Hall who confirmed that she was in a relationship with Amann, which also had previously been confirmed by former WWE Superstar Cliff Compton during his testimony, as well as Punk’s sister, Chaleen Rumpf.

Deadspin also reached out to WWE for comment:

“We were not aware of this. We are investigating the matter and will determine if any action is warranted.”

EA’s Take: This lawsuit has done much more damage to Amann than Punk’s interview on The Art Of Wrestling ever did. It’s certainly against a doctor’s code of ethics to date or have a sexual relationship with one of their patients, BIG no-no. I would have to imagine that WWE is very displeased with this guy whether they wanted to back him or not. The public perception of Amann couldn’t possibly be any lower and now that this has had a light shined on it, I wouldn’t be shocked in the least if the company moves on from him.
