WWE News: Mae Young Classic Announced For August, Ticket Information

After getting a smattering of talk here and there on this year’s second annual WWE Mae Young Classic, today WWE has confirmed some of the details for tournament exclusively for women in honor of the late, great Hall Of Famer.

Wednesday, August 8th and Thursday, August 9th the Mae Young Classic will hit Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida after NXT Superstar Kairi Sane was the winner of last year’s inaugural tournament. Triple H commented:

“We are thrilled to once again present the Mae Young Classic and provide a global showcase for 32 of the top female talent from around the world. Last year’s event was a significant milestone in WWE’s Women’s Evolution, and I am confident this year’s event will break even more barriers.”

While WWE has reportedly signed a number of female talents recently including Io Shirai, Deonna Purazzo, Toni Storm and Jinny Couture, no participants have yet to be confirmed.
