WWE News: Rey Mysterio Reveals Details On Possible New WWE Deal

San Diego honored one of its own today as the city proclaimed today ‘Rey Mysterio Day’ for the former WWE Champion who has been in ongoing negotiations about a return to the company. Reportedly, the hang-up between the sides previously has been that WWE would like him to work full-time, whereas Rey is only looking for a part-time schedule. Mysterio revealed today while speaking to the San Diego City Council that the current discussions are about a three year deal:

Mysterio, who has a stake in the Aro Lucha promotion and has also been working recently with New Japan Pro Wrestling, also spoke further about a possible WWE return with Fernando Ramirez of NBC San Diego:

Rey also got to spend a couple of minutes with a young fan and answer some questions, saying he’d like to have some matches against AJ Styles and Finn Balor. When the youngster brought up the current Money In The Bank holder ‘The Monster Among Men’ Braun Strowman, Mysterio would say perhaps they could be tag team partners:
