WWE Rumors: Shinsuke Nakamura Reportedly Injured, US Title Match Tonight Changed

Just hours away from tonight’s edition of WWE SmackDown Live, the marquee match for the show has now been changed as WWE has announced that Shinsuke Nakamura suffered an injury last night and is not medically cleared to compete against Jeff Hardy for the United States Championship:

On Sunday, General Manager Paige made the match official after ‘The Charismatic Enigma’ stated on last week’s SmackDown Live that after suffering a Kinshasa from Shinsuke, he now could “see”, donning his trademark facepaint once again. Instead of tonight’s scheduled match, Hardy will not be issuing a United States Championship Open Challenge.

EA’s Take: I guess Shinsuke must have had a secret match at his hotel room since he was injured “last night” even though he did not compete at the blue brand’s Live Event in Bakersfield, California. Are we really expected to buy that WWE has no details on this? We just saw them announce a week earlier that Sami Zayn was undergoing surgery after working through two torn rotator cuffs. So all of a sudden they’ve got nothing on Nakamura, right? Get real. #UseYourHead. Expect Nakamura to ambush Hardy tonight.
