WWE Rumors: Speculation On Injury To NXT Superstar While Overseas
We’re just a few days away now from NXT TakeOver: Chicago II this Saturday from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, with a number of big matches set for the event. As noted, the Superstars of WWE NXT have been overseas for this past weekend’s Download Fest in England, followed by Live Events on Monday in Paris, France and then last night in Antwerp, Belgium.
On Monday, NXT Superstar Ricochet was in action in Paris (which you can find results of here), teaming up with Johnny Gargano to face the duo of Tommaso Ciampa and The Velveteen Dream. During one spot in the match, ‘The One and Only’ Ricochet flew through the ropes to the outside with a suicide dive, however something went awry and he flew over the top of The Velveteen Dream. Ricochet would land hard on the floor and begin writhing in pain, leading to the referee to call to the back for help and use the dreaded “X” gesture to signify a legitimate injury. Ricochet would be helped to the back, leading to lots of talk regarding his upcoming TakeOver match against Velveteen Dream:

It should be noted that following the conclusion of the match, Ricochet would make his way back out to celebrate the victory and it’s being said that he did not show any signs of injury. ‘The One and Only’ did not appear last night in Antwerp, Belgium, but did note that was headed back to the United States this morning with the rest of the roster:
On the plane about to head back to the states. An amazing and my first overseas tour for @WWENXT is all wrapped up! Thanks to all who came and made it possible!
Now time to get ready for my spotlight at #NXTTakeOverChicago.

EA’s Take: Ricochet is just fine people. #UseYourHead. If he was actually injured then he wouldn’t have come back out after the match. He likely wouldn’t have hung out overseas for an additional 24 hours either and taken the first flight he could get to the USA to be checked out. Everything looks like it was just precautionary.
