UFC Rumors: Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Believes Brock Lesnar Is Doping

With WWE Superstar and current Universal Champion Brock Lesnar appearing last Saturday night at UFC 226 (read about that here), his long-rumored return to the octagon now seems to be an inevitability as ‘The Beast Incarnate’ has re-entered the USADA testing pool with an eye on fighting reportedly in early 2019 (check that story out here).

Of course, Lesnar was suspended for multiple failed tests prior to his UFC 200 bout against Mark Hunt in 2016, therefore he has roughly six months remaining on that suspension before he can step back inside the cage. However, according to one former UFC titleholder, it would be a shock if Brock even makes it to that point.

Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz recently appeared on The Scott & BR Show, offering up his opinion on whether or not the Universal Champion is currently clean:

“If he makes it to the fight I’d be shocked. And I just mean that because USADA is the toughest anti-doping system there is on planet Earth and that guy is absolutely doping. Period. No ifs, ands or buts about it. And he’s not been in mixed martial arts, so of course he’s been doing that stuff. How they’re going to get him to be clean on fight night is beyond me.”

EA’s Take: I’m certainly no Brock Lesnar apologist, but I think it’s pretty easy for anybody to sit there and say, “Oh he’s definitely on the gear”, without knowing for sure. Now if you were to put two muscular guys side-by-side and told me to pick which one was juicing, I don’t know that I’d be able to tell the difference personally. Honestly, I don’t really care if he is or isn’t myself and I’ve always felt that way about any sport. I’d hope that after getting busted the last time though, Brock would be smarter this time around. Although, that’s never stopped people in other sports before, so who knows.
