WWE News: Championship Match Now Confirmed For SummerSlam
While it seems like many members of the WWE Universe stuck around on the USA Network after SmackDown Live last week to catch the premier episode of the new reality series Miz & Mrs, the Cruiserweight Division took over the WWE Network for an all new edition of 205 Live (check out Mitchell’s Live Report here).
The show’s main event drew rave reviews from those who tuned in as Mustafa Ali, Hideo Itami, Drew Gulak and TJP went to war in a Fatal 4-Way to determine the new number one contender for Cedric Alexander’s Cruiserweight Championship. Despite the efforts of TJP, Ali and Itami, Drew Gulak emerged victorious after putting Mustafa to sleep with the GuLock to earn his opportunity at the title. However, it was never mentioned when that match would take place.
Today, General Manager Drake Maverick has announced that match will now take place at SummerSlam on August 19th in Brooklyn, New York:
