After a three week trend upward was thwarted last week for WWE’s Monday Night RAW, the numbers are now in for last night’s edition of the red brand and despite a widely criticized episode, they have slightly increased with less than two weeks remaining before Extreme Rules on July 15th.

The overall for RAW emanating from the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota comes in at a 2.707 for a show that featured Braun Strowman vs. Kevin Owens in the main event, only a 1.6% increase from last week’s 2.663. The red brand was unable once again to gain the top spot in the Cable Top 150 Rankings for the 18-49 deomographic, although they did jump up a spot from last week, going from three to two with the 10:00PM hour. They also held the number three and number five spots (the 8:00PM hour being number five), while Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta was once again at the top of the heap. Basketball Wives again was in the top five, coming in at the fourth position.

EA’s Take: At this point, perhaps trying to explain ratings on a weekly basis has been like trying to describe the unexplainable. Last night’s RAW was bad…really bad, in my opinion. Yet, the viewership goes up a little from last week, which I thought wasn’t great either, but better still than this week. No Ronda Rousey definitely is hurting the program, but there’s a major lack of interest overall right now. Extreme Rules feels like a throwaway pay-per-view being put in this spot between Money In The Bank and SummerSlam that was previously held by the likes of other forgettable events like Battleground. Not to mention your main event is…well, who knows what it is right now, which also crushes interest. Come on, August!
