WWE Rumors: Speculation On Big Name Appearing At Extreme Rules

We’re just hours away from tonight’s WWE Extreme Rules, taking place at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A rumor has really picked up steam today, as a huge name has been spotted in a nearby city to the event’s location.

PWInsider has reported that Hulk Hogan was spotted flying into Cleveland, Ohio last night, which is only an estimated two-hour drive away from Pittsburgh:

It also appears that Hogan may have been trying to throw fans off as to his location, tweeting out the following just five minutes before the above photo was posted:

It should also be noted that Hogan does not have any scheduled appearances in the Cleveland area. It’s long been rumored that Hulk could be making his way back to the company, especially in the last year-plus. The Hulkster himself even commented recently that talks were going “quite quickly” (for more on that go here).

EA’s Take: It does appear that something is up. I don’t know exactly what, but the obvious signs point to him showing up at Extreme Rules right now. The one thing I haven’t been able to surmise is, if he does in fact make a surprise appearance, exactly what capacity could you possibly use him in tonight? I can’t picture a scenario where Hogan would be used in some way on-screen that would make much sense with the current storylines. If anything, I think the intrigue for tonight’s event just went up a notch, solely out of curiosity. Sorry, I’m a Hulkamaniac and probably always will be.
