WWE News: First-Ever NXT UK Women’s Champion To Be Crowned This Weekend

After taping for the new NXT UK for the first time back on July 28th in Cambridge, England (for spoilers go here), WWE’s newest brand heads to Birmingham this weekend for its next round of tapings at the Insomnia Festival.

Previously, we heard plans for new titles for NXT UK announced as the brand will add a set of Tag Team Championships, as well as a Women’s Championship. Today, WWE has announced that this weekend’s show will include the crowning of one of those titleholders, as the first NXT UK Women’s Champion will be determined:

While it’s not yet known how the new champion will be determined, the above tweet suggests that Dakota Kai, Xia Brookside, Rhea Ripley, Toni Storm, Jinny, Isla Dawn and Killer Kelly will all be involved in some fashion. Before being injured during tapings for the Mae Young Classic, it was previously believed that Tegan Nox would also have taken part.
