WWE News: Renee Young Making History As She Joins Commentary For RAW Next Week
With WWE heading to the historic Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina this coming Monday for the go-home edition of RAW prior to SummerSlam, color commentator Jonathan Coachman will be absent from the broadcast to fulfill outside obligations. Because of this, today it has been announced that Renee Young will be making some history of her own, becoming the first woman to ever be on commentary for the duration of Monday Night RAW. Below is WWE’s official announcement:
Renee Young will be stepping in for Jonathan Coachman on the Raw announce team as a guest commentator this Monday night, ESPN.com reports. Coachman, meanwhile, will be fulfilling another obligation.
Young will work alongside Michael Cole and Corey Graves for all three hours of the broadcast, making this the first time a woman has called an entire episode of Raw.
