WWE News: WWE Championship Match Now Official For Hell In A Cell

Following weeks of being pushed to the edge by Samoa Joe, WWE Champion AJ Styles finally got ‘The Submission Specialist’ in the ring this past Sunday at SummerSlam.

While the match was a back-and-forth battle, nothing was really resolved in the end as Joe once again went the personal route, grabbing a mic while the match was in progress to continue poking at Styles with comments about his wife and daughter, who happened to be sitting ringside. This sent ‘The Phenomenal One’ into a rage, utilizing a steel chair to bludgeon the challenger, but causing a disqualification in the process.

Their issues continued Tuesday night on SmackDown Live as Styles was being interviewed on the stage. With his back turned to the live crowd, this gave Samoa Joe the opening he was looking for, ambushing the champion from behind and leaving him laying as we’ve seen before on the blue brand. Today, WWE has announced that the two will meet again with the title on the line at Hell In A Cell on Sunday, September 16th live on the WWE Network:
