Mae Young Classic Competitor Gets Banned From Entering The US
If you caught last night’s episode of the WWE Mae Young Classic (check out Mitchell’s Coverage here), the first round came to a close with four matches, including Isla Dawn advancing over Nicole Matthews.
Matthews is a 31-year old, 12-year veteran from Canada who has also been competing for SHIMMER Women’s Athletes where she is a one-time SHIMMER Champion. However if you want to see her competing in the United States again, unfortunately that will not be happening anytime soon. According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Matthews has officially been banned from working in or even entering the United States for a term of five years.
Like some other independent performers, Matthews has been coming to the United States to work using a travel visa, whereas a work visa is required and has finally been caught. This comes with no exceptions, meaning that Matthews will not be able to perform in the USA again until she’s 36-years old.
