Nikki Bella Is The Right Opponent For Ronda Rousey

In 8 weeks, WWE will be holding its first all women PPV called Evolution. The PPV is part of WWE’s Women’s Revolution movement and will feature past and present female wrestlers coming together for the historic event.

WWE already has began planning for the PPV and one match that’s rumored to be taking place is Raw Women’s champion Ronda Rousey versus Nikki Bella. While it hasn’t officially been announced, WWE is planting seeds for their upcoming match with the recent backstage segments with The Bella Twins and Rousey.

The idea of Ronda Rousey and Nikki Bella main eventing Evolution is so far being met with mixed reactions from WWE fans, with many feeling that Nikki isn’t the best opponent for Rousey.

I agree that there are a few other woman on the roster, who would no doubt put on an excellent match with Ronda Rousey.

First there’s Sasha Banks, who is a fan favorite and sometimes underappreciated talent. But at the moment Sasha is teaming with Bayley and they’re rumored to be the winners of the women’s tag team titles.

The next worthy opponent is Charlotte Flair. WWE wants to have a match between Flair and Rousey, yet they’re planning to hold off until next year’s Wrestlemania and Evolution would be too soon for their match.

Asuka is also another good opponent for Rousey, they could even play up the fact that Ronda stole Asuka thunder at the Royal Rumble. Yet, with Asuka being on Smackdown and currently teaming with Naomi, it would be impossible for her to go against Rousey at the moment. Although, maybe down the line we’ll see the two face off.

With these three ladies along with the rest of the women’s roster out of the running, the only other worthy opponent is Nikki Bella.

I admit I was one of the people skeptical about Nikki Bella fighting Ronda Rousey. The main reason is Nikki’s neck issues, which has kept her out of the ring for over a year. Yet, during her recent match on RAW, Nikki showed that she’s better than ever and ready to compete again.

Getting back to the subject, the reason why Nikki is a good opponent for Ronda is that they’re two of WWE’s popular female stars. Ronda is a former UFC champion, plus she’s a media sensation thanks to her endorsement deals and acting career. As for Nikki, she’s WWE’s longest-reigning Divas champion along with a reality star and entrepreneur.

With Ronda and Nikki being two big names in and out of the ring, their match would cause a lot of media attention, which is what WWE likes. The more attention Nikki and Ronda’s match receives, the more viewers will tune in to the PPV to see the two women battle it out.

While fans may not be keen on the idea, Nikki Bella is the best choice for Ronda Rousey at Evolution. Ronda and Nikki will no doubt do their best to get fans invested in the match, and come Evolution they’ll be the talk of the WWE Universe as they prepare for their showdown.
